The Breakdown
Seven ways to read this build.
01
What works
- +Electrical routed clean and labeled, serviceable from one panel
- +Galley layout keeps the cook out of the traffic path
- +External-access gear garage for muddy recovery equipment
02
What's overbuilt
- !Solar array exceeds the realistic daily draw by a wide margin
03
Lighting setup
Warm interior lighting on a dimmer, amber exterior floods for camp. Nothing aimed at the horizon it does not need to reach.
04
Storage setup
Gear garage in the rear accessed from outside, so wet and muddy kit never crosses the living space. Galley storage sized to a real week of food.
05
Recovery setup
Boards and kit in the garage, reachable without entering the cabin. Rated points front and rear.
06
Design tradeoffs
- !Chose galley counter space over an extra sleeping berth
07
What we'd change
- !Trim the solar array and put the weight and money into water capacity
